Do you ever need a solid dose of design inspiration?

The good news is that you’re not alone! There is not a designer out here who doesn’t need to regroup and refocus on design when we get caught up in the everyday.

Personally, I am highly motivated when I find new music, artists, products, podcasts, designers, entrepreneurs, and images that really speak to me. Discover excellent sources of inspiration that resonate with you. Seek out the things that speak to you most. Find your personality in your inspiration, and design your dream life around all that motivates you!

If you find yourself struggling to gather inspiration, try these tips to reignite your creativity and find sources of motivation:

• Carve out scheduled time: Life gets busy and oftentimes what we want to do gets pushed to the back burner. Mark a time in your calendar to gather inspiration. Let’s be honest, we’re probably spending time on social media anyway, might as well make sure it’s actually DOING something to push towards our home goals!

• Look back at any old inspiration to see how you have evolved from your Pinterest boards or magazine tabs… this is really the fun part as you dive right in to gathering fresh inspiration. By the way, are we friends on Pinterest? Take a look inside where I get my inspiration, here!
   
• Dive into a few hard copies of design magazines and books. Maybe they have been sitting in a stack on a shelf for a decade or are fresh off the press. Either way, there is a reason you gravitated towards them. Look inside. Mark the pages. Identify commonalities between the images you are drawn to.

• Check out our free design guides and make it a point to start small… it is not as daunting as it may seem! Give yourself a goal to complete one of the steps by the end of the week.

There are no limits! Think bigger than you feel is possible. There is ALWAYS a time to pull back in life… this is not it!! Take advantage of not having to limit yourself while you are setting goals and gathering inspiration. This is your full permission to THINK BIG!
